This revised edition includes over 40 new problems (for a total of 110 original problems with an instructor's solution manual), as well as completely new sections on quantum interference, Fano resonance, optical magnetism, quantum computation, laser cooling of solids, and irreducible representation of magnetic interactions. Literature references to current ultrafast science, nonlinear optics, x-ray and high-field physics topics have doubled at the end of chapters 5, 6, and 7; the subject index has also been significantly expanded.

The "Spiritual Warfare Prayer" was written for my own spiritual strength, during a period of tremendous stress, relentless spiritual attacks and heavy oppression. It was never written to be viewed or shared with anyone else, and certainly not to be published. I wrote it to keep my mind, which was under heavy and constant attack, firmly fixed on the written Word of God. During times when I desired yet could not pray effectively this written prayer kept me standing firm.
I first shared it when I was asked to be a guest speaker at a church. I vacillated as the Holy Spirit kept drawing me to teach from it. A visiting pastor from out of town was present; and was so impressed with the prayer that he invited me to be a keynote speaker at a conference he was conducting on spiritual warfare. From there, evangelists and missionaries took my "Spiritual Warfare Prayer" and distributed it to those in their travels around the world. During the months following, surprising testimonials came to me of the power and effectiveness this prayer had on the lives of so many. Nevertheless, it is my personal prayer. I have used it many times over the years; and use it to this day in my spiritual fight of faith.

About the Author
Darrell C. Porter is a non-denominational, full gospel evangelist. He received his Masters Degree in Christian Education from the International Bible College & Seminary in Independence, Missouri.

Rev. Porter has worked extensively with urban youth in Chicago, Los Angeles and Central Illinois for over 40 years. He has worked with street gang members, dropouts and substance abuse offenders.

He has conducted well over six thousand trainings, workshops and seminars on evangelism, spiritual warfare, substance abuse, conflict resolution and youth and gang violence, nationwide. He has trained ministers, pastors, other church leaders, educators, community leaders and professionals. He has taught several years at a Central Illinois Bible College.

For over 28 years he has also been a regular guest and co-host on Christian television as well as other local and regional television stations. He was a co-founder and board member of the Decatur Prayer Center, and also a chaplain for the Decatur, Illinois Police Department. He has pastored over 6 churches in the United States.
He currently resides in Las Vegas, Nevada where he continues to write and publish the HIGHLY RECOMMENDED Prayerline Newsletter. He is founder and director of the Ichthus Institute for Enrichment & Christian Development and is pastor of the New Covenant International Ministries. He also works with local, national and international Bible-based, Christ-centered ministries in spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

The ''Spiritual Warfare Prayer booklet''; was well written I found it to be easily read ,the content was very informed, words defined ,and scriptural;I could actionally feel the writer passion and sincerity. I was very impressed with the patient the writer took to share this prayer with the public to help other to become skillfully prepared, arm and equip for spiritual battle.The wording was great I particular enjoying reading about the author his experience and how this prayer was effected for him ,and others in intercessor prayer, The prayer is scriptural ,and ,can be use as a study guide, also with everyday devotional reading. I would recommend it to; anyone who is under the attack of the enemy and have had an ongoing battle, and have pray, and yet battling in the same battle without result; to consider obtaining this booklet ,

Spiritual warfare prayer, as said by the author, is truly a book that is powerful and an effective weapon against spiritual attacks and the strongholds of the devil. this book made me realize that as Christians, we should always expect trouble and trial times and that how we handle this trial times is what matters most. "knowledge of the word of God and preparation for spiritual warfare is imperative for victory over Satan" This line says we should always prepare so that the war does not get to us unaware. Pastor Darrell was elaborate defining key words such as spiritual, warfare and also went ahead to teach how to pray the spiritual warfare prayer. This book is a "must get" as it will add up to your weapon no matter how spiritually prepared you are for the attack on the strongholds of the devil.

Laura K. Guerrero has been at Arizona State since 1996 where she teaches undergraduate and graduate level courses on relational communication, nonverbal communication, statistics, and research methods. Her research focuses on communication in close relationships, emphasizing nonverbal messages, emotion, and the "dark” and “bright” sides of interpersonal communication. She is the co-author/co-editor of Nonverbal Communication in Close Relationships (Erlbaum), The Nonverbal Communication Reader, Third Edition (Waveland Press), Nonverbal Communication (Pearson), and the Handbook of Communication and Emotion (Academic Press).

Peter Andersen (PhD, Florida State University) is a professor at San Diego State University. The author of five books and more than 150 book chapters, research papers, and journal articles, he has received recognition as one of the 100 most published scholars in the field of communication.

Walid A. Afifi (PhD, University of Arizona) is professor in the Department of Communication at the University of California, Santa Barbara, where he teaches interpersonal communication, relational communication, nonverbal communication, and social marketing. His research revolves around people’s experience of uncertainty and their decisions to seek or avoid information in relational contexts.

Excellent book. Although, the plastic wrap was off, it was still brand new and $30! The book itself is easy to comprehend. It is interpersonal communication but more focused on dating and sexual relationships. It is a very good book to use.

About the Author

Rosalyn H. Shute is an Adjunct Professor in the School of Psychology, Flinders University, Adelaide, Australia, and Federation University, Ballarat, Australia. Her research expertise lies broadly in clinical child psychology and paediatric psychology/child health and wellbeing, and she is an experienced teacher of developmental psychology and clinical child/paediatric psychology.

Phillip T. Slee is a Professor in Human Development in the School of Education at Flinders University, Adelaide, Australia. He is a trained teacher and registered psychologist. His main areas of interest include childhood bullying/aggression, conduct disorders, stress and teacher education, and he has a particular interest in the practical and policy implications of his research.

About the Author
Ian Brodie is a former Air Force pilot who has become a renowned expert on this native New Zealand. His interest in photography and in The Lord of the Rings led him to write and compile this guide, which was then authorised and embraced by Peter Jackson and New Line Cinema. He is now the official Middle-earth spokesperson for Air New Zealand, the official airline of the movies, and he even has a small walk-on part in The Return of the King.

Plan the Ultimate New Zealand Lord of the Rings experience!

The Good: During June/July of 2003 I had the unbelievable opportunity to spend 6 weeks exploring New Zealand (this was before the revision of the book to include the Return of the King locations). As a lover of Tolkien and the LOTR movies I knew I could not miss seeing some of the filming locations used to portray 'Middle-Earth.' Ian Brodie's location guide is a godsend! I do strongly recommend renting a 4WD vehicle - the best locations are way off the beaten path and there is no other way to get to them!
North Island Highlights -
1) Visit the remains of the Hobbiton set in Matamata. Even without the remaining Hobbit hole facades, this lush green country is instantly recognizable as the Shire. To walk up the same stone steps at Bag End that Gandalf climbed is unbelievable. If you're lucky, you'll get one of the Alexander brothers as your guide!
2) Do not miss the opportunity to reenact the "get of the road" hobbit sequence on Mt Victoria. We had a bit of trouble finding the spot as much of the smaller brush and shrubbery had recently been trimmed, but once you're there you will recognize the location (focus on finding the older tree growth)!
3) Spend some time in Kaitoke Regional Park - aside from the lush vegetation you won't recognize anything directly from the movie, but the park is gorgeous and offers several walking trails.
South Island Highlights -
1) You MUST make the trek out to Erewhon/Mt Sunday. This was one of the best days of my trip. It is a long unpaved road and an endless drive deep into what seems like the middle of nowhere, but very much worth it! Mt Sunday/Edoras is instantly recognizable and you'll hardly notice that Meduseld isn't still standing there in all its glory. The Rangitata Valley is immense and breathtaking. There simply aren't words to describe the experience. Oh yeah, and it really is windy!
2) Queenstown, Queenstown, Queenstown! Do not short yourself on time in this adventure capital of New Zealand! You will recognize the Remarkables, overlooking Queenstown, from the movie immediately - they were used in many landscape shots in the film. Deer Park Heights is amazing - the LOTR locations are labelled with small guide markers, but also take your time to enjoy the animals roaming the preserve! When you find the tiny mountain tarn Peter Jackson used to film the refugees escaping Rohan you will truly come to understand this man's genius and vision! One of the Glenorchy Dart River safaris out of Queenstown is the best way to see the Isenguard location!
3) The second greatest day of my New Zealand trip was yet another long unpaved drive to the Mavora Lakes. I can't stress 4WD, common sense, and following speed signs in unpaved locations enough here - going slightly too fast at a road bend, we did at one point lose traction and drive staight off the road. Nonetheless, this worthwhile drive hits several locations. Without a GPS device, you'll find the burning Orc hill/Fangorn Forest location easiest by lining up the mountains to the forest looking for the matching movie shot. Hop the fence (watch out for sheep poo) and take the easy walk up to the hill. Reenact Aragorn's "a hobbit lay here and another here" sequence. Highly amusing after the long drive! Keep on driving (and do not mistake South Mavora Lake which you'll pass first for North Mavora) and you'll eventually get to the location used for Nen Hithoel. The waters where Sam nearly drowned trying to swim to Frodo are indeed cold! The fallen tree where Merry and Pippin hide is easily recognized, as is the tree Frodo hides behind - it is less that 10 feet away from the fallen Merry/Pippin tree. Don't let the prospect of getting a little dirty deter you from crawling under the fallen tree and whispering "hide here"! The guide directions aren't the greatest, but just at the forest edge in the open parking area, stand with the lake parallel to your left and these film locations are close by at the top of the ridge in the 2 o'clock direction. Personal rant to follow! Please do not stray too far into the forest - there is no trail to follow and the forest here is so dense that you could quite easily become lost/disoriented! As a word of warning - at one point in our search my friend and I were separated by only 20 to 30 feet and we could not see each other let alone the lake or parking area. Even though this is no more than a quick climb up a hill, be smart (we did find the car in case you were wondering) - as a precaution bring a daypack/backpack with drinking water for two days (for each person in your party), a small amount of food, and winter warm clothing even if the weather is hot. In the event that you do become lost, don't panic, don't run/rush, and at a calm walk DON'T WANDER FOR MORE THAN 5 MINUTES thinking that you'll find your way out (the average person who wanders for 15 minutes will have walked a mile) - stay put, settle in, and wait to be found. Whether you're going alone or with others - tell someone at your hostel/hotel that if you do not check in with them by a certain hour they should notify authorities of your location - by doing this, someone will find you if the worst case scenario does occur! The same goes for any location you are heading to that is off the beaten track! LOTR draws people from all walks of life, and hopefully those without outdoors experience/knowledge wishing to explore 'Middle-Earth' will stay safe in these wonderful locations!
The Bad: The only drawback to this book is that I didn't bring GPS equipment and thus sometimes found the directions to locations slightly vague - nonetheless, the directions do offer enough information to find the locations!
The Ugly: This last comment in no way relates to the book! If you're going to this fantastic country simply to see LOTR filming locations, I promise that you are missing out on what could be one of the greatest experiences of your life. Yes, go to see 'Middle-Earth' but do not forget the rest of New Zealand!

A Super Book!

We were in New Zealand last February when we found the version that preceded this one. It was a WONDERFUL book because it was concise, yet full of details. Each of the major sites was described with pictures, text, maps, directions, and even GPS coordinates. We went to about a half dozen of the sites, and loved the book as a companion to our travels. The sites are, in general, not marked, and we would have found them only by using this book. For "Lord of the Ring" aficionados traveling to New Zealand, this is "must have" book!

Russell weaves together an historical narrative of Mabo's life with an account of the legal and ideological premises of European imperialism and their eventual challenge by the global forces of decolonization. This is a great novel that I enjoyed. Every sentence keeps you reading. It's not one of those books that you get bored of and put it down. This book you do not want to end. Everything is so exciting. I could not put it down. Before i read this book i hated to read! But then i started reading these books and all i wanted to do was read. I'll say it again, this is a great novel!

You just get attached to the book. just like a real detective you want to solve the case.It makes you feel like your in the book. you don't know what your MISSING!!!!!!!!!!

It takes you through a series of stretches and shoulder awareness exercises that can help you improve awareness and flexibility and strength.

Exercises are organized so that it is easy to learn to feel your shoulder and so that you can apply that awareness to more effectively stretching your shoulders.

The very first exercises are designed to help you become more aware of your ribcage and your neck and how to shape them so that they form a stable foundation. This forms a basis for moving the shoulders and stretching them.

When stretching and improving awareness, one of the most important considerations is Tensegrity which is a contraction of the terms Tension and Integrity.

Tension is what allows us to feel our body in general. While it is relatively easy to learn to feel muscular activity and the tension generated within the belly of a muscle when it is active, connective tissue tension is something we can learn to feel when muscles are relaxed.

If we learn to feel this tension, and relaxed stretching is one way to learn to feel it, then we can not only improve body awareness, but also our ability to control our body and respond quickly, even instantaneously.

One of the keys to learning to feel this tension is to move slowly and smoothly. But another key is to focus on isolated elements.

After awareness (and control) is developed in isolation it can then be used in integrated "whole body" movements or postures.

Many of the stretches are based on stretches that I first learned from Andrey Lappa, one of my most important yoga teachers. But I've also developed exercises based on my own experiences from studying Tai Ji and Kung fu and from teaching (and doing) yoga for the last 15 years.
